2009 Amarillo Nationals Entrants

DATE: October 30-31, 2009
SITE: TheAmarillo Civic Center, 401 S. Buchanan,Amarillo, TX 79101.
RULES: Modified National Federation High School Rules (minimum rest
between matches and maximum number of matches not in effect). Hair code
& fingernails will be enforced by referees. Hair cover (if required) must be with
wrestler at weigh-in. Head gear required for 15 and 18 & Under age groups.

FORMAT: Double Elimination – No Seeding – Challenge for second format.
Referee decisions final. All protests to be directed to tournament directors. All
age protests must be made before final match of first day of wrestling for that
particular age group. Birth certificates must be available if requested by tournament
directors.

6 - 8 & under 1-1-1 Including Finals. 10 - 12 - 15 - 18 & under 11/2 - 11/2 -11/2
Including Finals. Consolations and Hard Luck Matches 1-1-1. Overtime –
NFHS rules.
AWARDS
1st through 4th. Outstanding award in each age group based on a champion
with most falls in least amount of time (including technical falls). Hard Luck
– 1st & 2nd Place Medals. Must be present to win awards!

The Nevada County bruins freestyle juniors club won the SAWA club championship with only 4 wrestlers. Nick Sauers had to win 5 Matches for the title in the 135lb class Harley sauers was 3-0 to win the 152 lbs class, Brad Bothilio was 2-2 at 160 lbs for third and Juan Gardina was 4th at 125 lbs for the Bruins Club.
