World of Wrestling Rules and Guidelines

1. Overtime matches will comply with the Federation of High School Rules.

2. Minimum rest between matches and maximum number of matches not in effect.
Exceptions: If requested, 6 and under through 12 and under will have a 10 minute rest period between matches, 15 and under through 18 and under will have a 15 minute rest period between matches.

3. All age protests must be made before final match of first day of wrestling for that particular age group.

4. Birth Certificates must be available if requested by a tournament director.

5. Protest Fee $35

6. Head gear mandatory for the 15 and 18 and under age groups.

7. Hair cover (if required) must be with wrestler at weigh-in.

8. Child Abuse, abusive language, disorderly conduct, etc…will not be tolerated and will be dealt with severely.

9. Must make weight in competition singlet.

10. No Cameras or filming devices of any kind allowed on the floor.

11. Coaches Passes and/or Floor passes must be visible. Press or Media Passes must be pre-approved prior to entry deadline and proper vest must be worn and may not sit in coach’s seat as a coach.

12. Must register together as a team to compete for team awards and to receive coaches passes.

13. Total number of Coaches Passes determined by number of entries:
3-5 Entries = 1 free pass
6-10 Entries = 2 free passes
11-15 Entries = 3 free passes
After 15 Entries, one additional pass per 5 entries. Please do not ask for exceptions.

14. Must Pre-Pay and Pre-Enter – NO LATE ENTRIES.

15. Time Periods are as follows:
6-8 and under 1-1-1
10-12-15 and under 1 ½-1 ½- 1 ½
18 and under 2-2-2
All Consolation Matches 1-1-1
Hard Luck Tournament and Novice Nationals 1-1-1
All Medal matches same as championship rounds.

16. Hard Luck Tournament – If you lose your first two physically wrestled matches you go to a single elimination bracket. First and Second place medals given.

17. Novice Nationals – Any 1st or 2nd year wrestler who has not placed 1st – 4th (change to Any 1st or 2nd year wrestler who has not placed 1st or 2nd).

18. Round Robin Ties – 1st criteria most wins, 2nd criteria most falls, 3rd criteria head to head.

19. Outstanding Award – Based on a champion with most falls in least amount of time (including Technical Falls).

20. Must be present to win any Awards.

21. We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule as necessary. If any changes are made they will be posted at weigh-in.
